Once again the Friends of the Library have saved Knox County tax payers thousands of dollars.
This year alone, the Friends raised $56,370 from selling used and discarded books.
They also raised $18,665 from family members who attended programs at the library;
$9,032 from children and teens who participated in programs; and money from the dues paid by members, for a grand total of $78,072.
Many hard working people are to thank for this great news.
