Covered shoes with denim pieces using Mod Podge

I used a pair of black leather shoes and pieces of denim to make these shoes. Challenge was to make each shoe look the same.

View the video about these quilts at Tennessee Thrifter YouTube

I came across some interesting quilt patterns in a book Modern Minimal Quilts and made 4 of them.
Instead of having 4 quilts separately, I used them back to back so that was 2 quilts. Quilting is expensive, so that saved me l/2. The pattern for the sailboat is one that i blew up giant size from a 20"x20" block. I enjoyed making these and love the way they turned out. Each of the minimal quilts took me about 2 hours to make from cutting the fabric to the actual sewing. The sailboat pattern took a little longer, but none took as long as a typical quilt. I found a store that quilted all 3 for $124. I furnished the backings and did the bindings.

Made 5 quilt tops recently...New Minimal patterns Sweet

Sewing and volunteering my time to various clubs I attend.

I designed this skirt from a piece of cloth I bought by purchasing a room full of sewing items when an estate went out of business.
There were literaly 1,000s of yards of fabric in the haul.
I am slowing making use of some of it; more left to work with. Having fun.

I've been sewing.

I've been sick with awful stomach virus.

Hope to get back to posting this week. I had that awful stomach virus and just had no energy. Happy New Year and hopefully I'll be back to usual soon.
