I did finish this crocheted bed spread

a few months ago. Working on it was one of the ways I coped with the shut down. I used mostly yarn that had been given to me. I had no plan other than to use double crochet stitches and keep working until I had used up most of the free yarn or the spread was large enough to drape over my queen-size bed. I did have to buy a couple of new skeins of yarn when the spread got large because it would require an entire skein to make one row. I actually had yarn left over. As it turned out, the pillow shams in this photo were ones I already owned. It looks like I bought the shams to match the spread or designed the spread to match the shams, but I did neither. It was plainly random.
