All dressed up for fun party on Jan. 20, 2017

      So happy to be going out to a fun party and felt like getting all dressed up. Maybe I
needed a splash of red to go with blue dress and white fur collar. YAY

    This is truly one of the fanciest dresses I have ever worn. It was included in a donation
I helped to distribute to the area homeless. No one wanted this dress. It was in the back of
my car in a box waiting for someone to ask for it, so I decided to wear it this one special time.

I was invited to an Inaugural Party last night, Jan. 20, 2017, so

I attended it. So happy to celebrate election of  POTUS, Donald. J. Trump.

Wonderful to be with others who were celebrating.

Cake auction was big event of the night; plenty of tasty looking pastries.

None for me; so happy to be keeping the weight off.

Fabric from donations used to make Elsa and Anna capes

While searching in my fabric box for cloth to use to piece a quilt, I found this purple/pink colored cloth and reminded me of the cape from the moive "Frozen," I decided to make a cape for Eva, my son's niece. She has a neighbor she often plays with so I made her a blue cape. They can play Elsa and Anna. I think I'll make a dress to go with the blue cape since I have some cloth left for it. 

I have been encouraged to take up crocheting after years of not doing it.

A crafts' group I have joined is making hearts to use for decorations for a tree to be decorated for Valentine's Day at the Karns Senior Center. I used to crochet but have not done so in years. Thankfully, it is coming back to me. I made these hearts yesterday and plan to make more.

Pepperoni-- or crustless pizza

A very tasty lunch made from large-size pepperoni slices,
l/2 tablespoon of cheese per slice, l/2 teaspoon purple onion,
a slice of mushroom, and Parmesan cheese on top. I place
in microwave oven for about 30 seconds or until cheese melts.
YUMMY and so easy to make. You can use the smaller
pepperoni slices. Just adjust the amount of other items. You
can also add more veggies such as black olives or scallions.
ENJOY and KETO all the way, baby.

Bummer--my favorite thrift store went out of business

 The KARM Clearance Center closed yesterday, Jan. 13th. I made a final purchase of some cotton shirts and skirts to use for quilt pieces and a few articles of clothing that fit me. Each cost 50 cents. The blue jean skirt was worth the $14 I spent. The rest if just gravy. Will miss this store greatly!!

Senior Center Crafts' Club played a game; fun

After Christmas sales provided me with some fun gifts to give during a game at Senior Center in Karns with the Crafts' Club.

Thanksgiving wreath purchased off season

Purchased this wreath for 69 cents minus 10% discount or 63 cents. I find that buying off season for decorations if the cheapest way to go.

Purchased these 3 pieces of cloth for a total of 90 cents. Green has 4 l/2 yards; gingham has 2 yards each.
