Chair and stool purchased at Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store for $19

I used fleece throws purchased at K-mart for $5.99 each. The size was 50" x 60" and I used 7. So, for under $75, I have a new chair and stool. The fleece had a white background, but I dyed it brown. Overall, the upcycling of this project is several hundred dollars.

Been Making Quilts from Free Fabric

A lady gave me tons of free fabric last July. I have completed many projects this year. Been working on 3 quilts this week. Not finished, but ready to quilt. Going to use the "string-tie" method because the fabric is too thick to sew in my sewing machine.

The fabric for 2 of the quilts is upholstery samples from a furniture store. Each measures 9 inches x 12 inches--making great quilt blocks. The fabric I am using for the backing was also donated by the same lady.

A GREAT movie Notes on a Scandal

I've been staying inside to stay warm lately. Watching some great movies. One I recommend is Notes on a Scandal with Judi Dence and Kate Blanchette--a very different kind of story; very good.
