I am obsessed with Jonathan and Charlotte
I do not watch Britan's Got Talent and had missed hearing about this singing duo. This photo is from their first audition. Jonathan is wearing a Jimmy Hendrix shirt--just what a 17 year old boy would love. Charlotte is fashionable in the red jacket and black leggings. Simon seemed to think they were going to be duds, but it only took 6 seconds and they had the crowd in their hands. They sang 90 seconds of The Prayer by David Foster using both Italian and English. They brought the crowd to their feet for a standing ovation.

My book won BEST in World from Gourmand Magazine in Madrid, Spain
Book About Watermelon in Knoxville, Tennessee Wins Best in World in Spain
Writer Martha Rose Woodward received word this that her book “Watermelon for Everyone” has won “Best Book in the World on the Topic of Watermelon” for the 2013 World Cookbook Awards Contest sponsored by Gourmand Magazine in Madrid, Spain.
“Watermelon for Everyone” was selected to compete in the 2013 World Cookbook Awards in September after a world-wide data search for books about watermelon by Gourmand Magazine.
The 38 page, lively book is a delightful look at the life cycle of watermelon. The colorful illustrations capture the attention of students of all ages with fun facts, interesting details and recipes-both non-cook and cooked- about the popular and tasty fruit.
The selection of Woodward’s book came from Edouard Cointreau, President and Founder of Gourmand Magazine in Madrid, Spain. Mr. Cointreau spends a major portion of each year in China.
In September, Mr. Cointreau wrote to Ms. Woodward:
“Please send your book “Watermelon for Everyone” for the Gourmand Awards .
It is very special, and it might qualify for a Special Award.
We have a special focus on watermelon this year.
Now I am in Beijing, for its BIBF Book Fair next week.
I visited their huge Watermelon Museum. It is really well done. Your book should be there in Chinese.
Participating in our awards will give international exposure to your book.”
Judging took place the week of December 15.
