I recommend Bryan and the guys; they do great work for a fair price.

Pipes frozen; call the Drain Surgeon; 865 237 6792; he does good work and has fair prices

Feels good to use remnants

I makes me feel good to use fabric remnants to make quilts. These quilts are very heavy and work well for use on a porch, in a cabin or outdoor area. No need to worry about getting it dirty; just wash with a cloth and you are good to go. Fabric is the kind used to cover couches and chairs. Provides warmth when sitting on a porch at night. Fits the decor of a cabin or hunting lodge.

Hard back copies of Watermelon for Everyone and No Spitting Watermelon Seeds

After requests from librarians, my watermelon books are now in hard back form.

Made this bag for my son; he loves the fabric

To purchase Ron Leadbetter's new book go to www.amazon.com and click on books, then type in Ron's name or Big Orange, Black Storm Clouds and More

Ron's book is available
in hard back from www.Lulu.com or soft back from www.createspace.com or www.amazon.com or you can contact me to get a signed copy by Ron and by me, as I was the editor. We have worked for over 5 months on this project.

Quilt completed February 22, 2015; Barrett claimed it.

I just finished sewing this quilt today and my son, Barrett, has
already claimed it. I lined it with an animal print fabric.
These quilts are made from fabric remnants given to me by a very
kind staff member of a local furniture store. I have made
several quilts and hundreds of bags over the last few years. I
feel good about not putting fabric into the landfill.

Etowah Young Writers Were Awesome

Congratulations to the Young Writers at the Etowah Young Writers' Conference on Valentine's Day.

What an awesome group of young people!!!

We had a grand time and I met many fabulous folks.

The students were extremely well-behaved and their questions were amazing for people of their ages.

Parents were so kind and many purchased books.

I enjoyed signing books and all the other things the children placed in front of me, especially the tee-shirts--what a tickle!!!

Love to all who attended. It was a truly fabulous event. Many kind and helpful people worked to make my day go well. Special thanks to those of you who were in the classroom busy with all the behind the scenes tasks that went on during my presentation.

IF you are looking for a way to highlight writing, contact Etowah; they do a marvelous job of it.

Leadbetter's book almost ready for sale on www.amazon.com

Since August 22, 2014, attorney Ron Leadbetter and I have been working on his book "Big Orange, Black Storm Clouds, and More" a history of the University of Tennessee. Ron was hired as the first law clerk at UT in 1971. Since that time he worked in the General Counsel's Office. During his career, he kept detailed notes of cases you will remember hearing about in the news. His book gives a behind-the-scenes look at how things work at a major university.

The book contains 128 chapters. Some of the chapter headings are:

BOB--the Big Orange Boar--how did a Russian boar almost become a mascot for the men's basketball team?
A Pot of Money--Birth of UT Licensing
Elvis Presley and His UT Defense
Phone Fraud Episode
Dumb, Screwy or Just Plain Weird Cases
Pamela Reed Enters the Picture
The Shumaker Presidency
The Bruce Pearl Tragedy: Who Dropped the Ball?

For these and more be sure to buy your copy soon.
